jackpot tickets are sold only starting from 1998.
This table lists all Powerball states arranged according to the number of jackpot winning tickets sold in the state. Also
listed are the amount won, and the participation of the state as a member of the powerball lottery, expressed in terms of the

The state of Indiana tops the list with 19 powerball jackpot winning tickets worth $1633.35 million won. As a matter of fact, highly ranked states with less than 100% participation are the actual big winners since they achieved it within a shorter period of time. The data were compiled after the latest Powerball draw of Saturday, June 15, 2013

Note that this is not the same participation listed on "Powerball States" page as Draws%, which considers all the 2208
draws since 1992. The bar chart is intended for visual comparison of the states' membership in Powerball.
